STRYDE ("we", "our", "the service") is a discipline and productivity platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how it is handled. We built STRYDE for students — including minors — so we hold ourselves to a conservative standard on data.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
- Profile data you provide: your age group, exam targets and dates, subjects, self-rated subject comfort levels, current chapters, daily study hours, wake and sleep times, other goals, and past exam marks you choose to log.
- Usage data: quest completions, verification notes you write, mood check-ins, streaks, focus session durations, and reflection entries. This data powers your analytics, roadmap and adaptive difficulty.
- Payment data: handled entirely by Razorpay, our payment processor. We never see or store your card numbers, UPI IDs, or banking credentials. We store only your plan, payment status and transaction references.
2. How your data is used
- To generate your adaptive quests, roadmap, load calculations and analytics.
- To power the Intelligence feature — your profile context is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate personalised study strategy. It is used for generating your response and is not used to train AI models.
- To manage your subscription and provide support.
3. What we never do
- We never sell your data to anyone.
- We never show you third-party advertising.
- We never share your study data, marks or reflections with schools, parents or any third party without your explicit request.
4. Data storage and security
Data is stored with Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encryption in transit and at rest. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. API keys and secrets are stored in isolated environment configuration, never in code.
5. Users under 18
STRYDE is designed for students, including users under 18. If you are under 18, you should use STRYDE with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to request access to or deletion of their child's data.
6. Your rights
- Access: request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Deletion: request complete deletion of your account and all associated data. Deletion is permanent and completed within 30 days.
- Correction: update any profile information directly in the app at any time.
7. Cookies and local storage
STRYDE uses browser local storage to keep your session and app data available offline. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
